Ohio V.I.P. Pets LLC – Terms of Service

Effective Date: 10/14/2025

For the purposes of this document, the terms “Client” and “Pet Owner” are synonymous and refer to the individual contracting services for one or more domestic animals. Ohio V.I.P. Pets LLC provides professional pet care services to the Client, including but not limited to: house sitting, dog and cat care, transportation to veterinary appointments, and dog walking.

General Terms and Liability

Ohio V.I.P. Pets LLC will take all appropriate measures to ensure the safety, well-being, and comfort of all animals under its care. However, the Client acknowledges that animals are instinctual in nature and may act unpredictably. While every precaution will be taken, Ohio V.I.P. Pets LLC cannot guarantee the absolute safety of any animal and shall not be held liable for injury, loss, or escape of a pet, except in cases of gross negligence, recklessness, or intentional misconduct on the sitter’s part.

The Client agrees to pay for any injury caused by their animal to another animal, individual, or sitter, except in cases where the sitter’s gross negligence, recklessness, or intentional misconduct is determined to be the cause.

All pets under care must be up-to-date on Rabies and core vaccinations and must have current veterinary records available upon request. The Client authorizes Ohio V.I.P. Pets LLC to obtain emergency veterinary care if deemed necessary, and agrees to reimburse all associated costs unless the injury or illness is directly caused by sitter misconduct.

Ohio V.I.P. Pets LLC maintains comprehensive pet sitter insurance through PetCare, ensuring that Client pets are covered for incidents occurring during services, as outlined by the insurance policy terms.

Services Provided

1. Dog Walking

Dog walking services are designed to provide safe, controlled, and enriching exercise for Client dogs. Ohio V.I.P. Pets LLC will ensure that dogs are leashed, supervised, and kept away from aggressive or unsafe animals and environments.
Clients who approve dog park visits acknowledge the inherent risks involved and agree that Ohio V.I.P. Pets LLC is not liable for any injuries sustained as a result of their dog’s own behavior. Insurance coverage applies only to injuries resulting from another dog’s actions, not the Client’s dog’s behavior.

2. Veterinary Visits

Ohio V.I.P. Pets LLC provides transportation and companionship services for pets attending veterinary appointments. The sitter will follow all reasonable instructions provided by the Client and veterinarian regarding treatment and handling.
In emergencies, the sitter may transport the pet to the designated emergency clinic and authorize treatment as deemed necessary for the animal’s welfare. The Client agrees to reimburse the sitter for all veterinary costs not covered by insurance.

3. Overnight Care and House Sitting

Overnight care includes extended in-home stays where the sitter will provide companionship, feeding, medication administration, and basic home care duties (e.g., bringing in mail, watering plants).
The Client agrees to provide a clean and safe living space for the sitter, including clean linens, a bed, and Wi-Fi access. The sitter will provide their own food and toiletries. The Client is responsible for providing all pet food, medications, and supplies for the duration of service.
If the Client returns home early, they remain responsible for payment of the entire booked service period as originally agreed upon.

4. Medication Administration

Ohio V.I.P. Pets LLC is qualified to administer oral, topical, or injected medications as directed by the Client or the Client’s licensed veterinarian. The Client must provide clear, written instructions for each medication, including dosage, schedule, and method of administration.
The sitter agrees to follow all written instructions carefully and to document each administration in a daily care log. The Client is responsible for ensuring that all medications are properly labeled and not expired.

Ohio V.I.P. Pets LLC is not liable for adverse reactions or side effects that occur when administering medication as instructed by the Client or veterinarian. In the event of a medical emergency or unexpected reaction, the sitter will seek immediate veterinary care and contact the Client as soon as possible.
